Product Overview

Marglobe Tomato Seeds require a long growing season so it is best to start indoors for a six week period. The six week period should be after the final ice of spring. For optimal results sow the seeds half an inch deep in a well-drained soil starting mix. The seeds require moist soil between 65-90 degrees Fahrenheit. The reason for this is to promote faster germination. This can be done by using adequate watering, once seedlings break through the soil. Tomato plants prefer well-drained, fertile soil with a blend rich in phosphorus and potassium, high in matter. They require eight hours of direct sunlight and grow quicker with more exposure.

The Marglobe Tomato is one of the most vigorous and disease resistant of the standard changes. They are popular amongst gardeners, because they grow uniformly with no cracking or blemishes. Ideal to harvest and grow in bulk. The Marglobe tomato is a large, globe shaped tomato with a bright red right to the stem. It matures from 58 to 60 days. They have a rich taste which are great for stews and salsas, especially because they are easy to grow and maintain when harvesting in bulk.
