Product Overview
The California Wonder Sweet Pepper is named accordingly; it truly is a wonder watching this vegetable mature, which takes 75 days. These peppers are green for most of their life but once they reach maturity, they magically transform into a deep red pepper. These plants produce large yields of blocky, mostly four-lobed, thick-walled fruit that is mild and sweet. The ever bearing, upright bush plant produces fruits up to 4 inches long by 4 inches wide that weigh around 6 oz each. This is a great plant to start inside and then later transplant outside after the last frost. The soil temperature must be no less than 65°F at the time of transplant. They can be grown in containers but it must be a rather large container. California Wonder peppers also need summer shade but at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. The taste of these beauties is a pleasant mild flavor with a crisp, thick flesh.
