California Poppies (Eschscholzia californica) are easy to grow from seed. They can grow 12 _24" tall, with alternately branching blue green foliage. The flowers are solitary on long stems, silky-textured, with four petals.The petals close at night or in cold, windy weather and open again the following morning. It is perennial in mild parts of its native range, and annual in colder climates.
