    Broccoli & Radish Sprouts

Posted by Craig on 21st Jul 2024

My brother was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. To help fight the cancer, he and his wife were spending a lot of $$$ buying broccoli sprouts and microgreens which they would get at local stores or farmers markets. I've grown sprouts for years so I got some more mason jars and sprouting lids then realized I was almost out of seeds. I was not thrilled with my last seed provider so I started looking and found Todd's Seeds. After looking at the site, I noticed that Todd mentioned they got in a new line of seeds and I thought, it was worth a try so I ordered a 2.5-pound bag of broccoli and a 1-pound bag of radish seeds. I read that mixing 1/4 radish with 3/4 broccoli seeds helps increase the sulforaphane potency in the broccoli sprouts. Not sure if that's true but it does give them a nice little kick. I'm very pleased with Todd's seeds because the germination of both seeds has been fantastic. I would guess between 90-95% or maybe even higher. My brother is very pleased with the flavor of the mixture as well and hopefully, it will help him in his path to healing the cancer.

Very few seeds fail to sprout. Those that do (majority) have a great taste. I am a repeat buyer of Todds seeds. Highly recommended.
