    sprouts perfect!

Posted by Todd's Seeds Lover on 10th Apr 2019

Glad I found this place. I ordered sun seeds, alfalfa, and sprouting mix. I haven’t sprouted the sunflower yet but the other two were fine. I will be back to order more, in a larger quantity. Thanks.

    Hot mail

Posted by steven on 15th Aug 2018

I came home from two days of travel to find my 5 lbs of seed in our mail box. Temperature that day was 104 and the package was very hot. I have sprouted the very first batch of seed just to see if they might be dead. Seeds are sprouting, but just at the white root point. I think they will continue to grow and turn green. Service was fast with good communication. If I find the seeds continue to grown and live, I will come back and update the review or add another and bring the rating up to 5 stars. I have already book marked this page in order to do so.

    Sprouted Fast!!

Posted by Todd's Seeds Lover on 4th Feb 2018

This is my first time trying to grow sprouts. I recently bought alfalfa and broccoli seeds from Todd's Seeds. I placed 2 tablespoons of seed in 2 different wide mouth quart jars. Used a mesh jelly bag cut into round pieces with a canning jar ring to hold the mesh in place, though I think I'll invest in the proper lids soon. I rinsed and drained the seeds on Wed. evening. Thursday morning I remembered that I should've soaked them for the first 8-10 hours. So I soaked them throughout the day Thursday. Then Thursday evening started the rinse, drain, set cycle morning and evening. Both the broccoli and the alfalfa showed signs of sprouting already on Friday morning! By Saturday morning, all the seeds in both jars had sprouted! Today, Sunday, we added some alfalfa sprouts to our lunch meat roll ups. Will continue to let them grow for another day or 2. They are sitting in the sun today to see if they green up. The broccoli sprouts already show signs of greening well. The alfalfa seems to be putting out leaves today (day 4). I'd encourage anyone to give this a try. It really did take just a few minutes morning and evening. I think next time I'll try a mix of alfalfa and broccoli since they sprouted at the same rate.

    Fast Germinating

Posted by Pippit Carlington on 28th Jul 2017

Of the 4 varieties I bought these were my least favorite. They germinated fast but I noticed there were alot of stuck hulls and/or ungerminated seeds left and didn't obtain the volume and fluffiness that the same amount of Crimson Clover did by the time I was ready to eat them in side-by-side comparison. The flavor was OK, just a little bland, and they didn't last in the refrigerator as long before wilting as the other varieties of sprouts I bought at the same time. They were still better than average though compared to other places I have bought them and the price per pound is better than most other seed companies or grocery stores.

    Seeds for sprouting

Posted by Todd's Seeds Lover on 18th Aug 2016

The seeds arrived very quickly and I got them soaked right away. I had some from Amazon but they did not sprout well. These will be kept in the frig! I feel so much better growing my own sprouts opposed to those in the store that wilt and look sad. Thanks for a great product!
