New England Aster Seed Bishop Flower is a beautiful addition to any garden. The blooms are large circular snow-white flower heads between 5 and 6 inches in diameter. It does not require special soil conditions or full sunlight, therefore they are popular to plant for this reason, they are easily grown regardless of their conditions. They have a height of around 2-3 feet. Their germination period is from 7-25 days.

The optimal soil temperature for germination is 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit, but they will grow if their temperature is below this guideline. Plant them between one sixteen inch depth and their blooming period is from May to August each year. They cover a vast amount of area – 1 ounce covers approximately over one thousand square feet. Their seeding rate is approximately 2 pounds per acre. They are used mainly for cut-flower industries and require a minimum amount of moisture once they are established; they are popular for roadside decorations and disturbed areas.
