It is one of the finest color makers in any wildflower meadow, which makes it a favorite for community roadsides. Also, it´s one of the best flowers for cutting. Midsummer begins a heavy bloom, and the flower will continue to increase in number until the frost comes. They grow to over 6 or 7 feet. They have an annual lifecycle and require direct sunlight which is around 6 hours per day or half sunlight which is around 3 hours per day.

They are pink and when they mature they can grow up to 24-36 inches tall. They bloom from summer to fall. They take on average 5-14 days to germinate this depends on the soil and weather conditions. They can tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil and dry soil. They can be used for containers, cut flowers, showy flowers and extended blooms, because they are so easy to grow.
