Product Overview

A delicious blend of Clover, Cress, Arugula, Radish, and Dill, this sprouting mix will have your taste buds singing! You won't find a unique mix like this one anywhere else on Todd's Seeds. The radish and clover will add a tad of spice and the cress will provide a slightly peppery flavor. The Dill and Arugula will add mildly sweet and tangy flavors along with a more leafy blend of sprouts. You will receive one pound of this delicious mix in perfect proportions.

Sprouting Instructions:

Arugula and Cress are both gelatinous seeds which mean they should not undergo the initial soak when sprouting. This will cause them to turn into a huge gelatinous mess which will never sprout. Since they are in this mix, we have included a much smaller amount of these two seeds to offset the gel that they form. An initial soak of the entire mix for about 4 hours should do. After this point you can try to sprout them in a mason jar or Easy Sprouter but there are more efficient ways that we recommend.

You’ll need a medium, such as soil, hemp bag, unbleached heavy-duty paper towel, unglazed clay pot bottom, an unbleached coffee filter, or Baby Blanket.

Here are the directions for growing arugula, or any other gelatinous seed such as cress, chia, basil, or flax:

  1. Sprinkle your seeds onto the growing medium. Leave enough space so that most of the seeds aren't touching.

  2. Spritz the seeds with water. They should be damp, but not too wet.

  3. Loosely cover the seed with clear plastic, so they don't dry out. (Plastic wrap or a clear produce bag work for this.)

  4. Spritz the seeds twice a day, or as needed. Try to keep them damp, but not wet.

  5. Once seeds are stuck together and to the growing surface, pour water in to rinse and pour out extra water.

  6. Harvest with scissors when they reach the desired height.

Using the above method, you should be able to grow a 4-12 day sprout or microgreen. If you want to grow longer, you may have to use soil or a fertilizer such as liquid kelp.

Fantastic germination rate but two labels with different ingredients

Posted by Kat on 22nd Jan 2023

I ordered quite a few different kinds of sprouting seeds, this one was the first I opened to try. The germination rate was very high, took about 7 days to fill my jar. The flavor is exactly what you expect EXCEPT I didnā€™t know there was fennel in the mix. I opened it up and got a huge whiff of black licorice and I flipped over the bag and it had a second label over a another label. The first label on the bag clearly says fennel while the second does not. Iā€™m not upset, will definitely order from Toddā€™s again but I get a little suspect when there are double labels with the same name but different ingredients listed. Best of luck to all of your sprouters out there!

    Country Salad Mix

Posted by Lok Kwan Cheng on 5th Aug 2021

Taste and germination rate good but germination rate of seeds vary greatly. Some twice as tall as the others so harvesting is a challenge. I just harvesting the tall ones and giving the rest a few more days to grow. All in all, as a 'mix' it's not so good.

Only rated 4 Stars because I have not tried many other mixes available

I grew these seeds as microgreens (in soil) as opposed to sprouting. Great flavor. Mild but with a hint of spiciness. I am very new at growing microgreens and sprouting so I can not tell you what seed contributed to the amazing subtle and spicy flavors that I enjoyed. I can tell you this mix grew in 10 days to a flavorful mix of Microgreens.

    Countryside Mix

This is a new sprouting seed for me, but if it tastes half as good as it smells, it will be delicious!

    Nice blend for micro greens

I like the mix of flavors, but have one dislike. The dill sprouts much slower than the other seeds. By the time they start germinating, the tray is ready to harvest. Even so, it has a great flavor for sprucing up salads.

Really like this combination. Fantastic germination and spicy bite in this blend. Will buy again. Broccoli & friends blend also good.
