Aster Powderpuff Seed Mix (Callistephus chinensis) is one of the most common flowers used for cut flower arrangements. They have large circular blooms in a variety of different colors, such as red, lavender, white, and pink. They'll reach about two feet in height, and every stem has a double flower at the end, giving your garden a nice full appearance. While they prefer the sun, they will also bloom well in light shade. Expect them to bloom into the summer, unless you begin germination indoors around 6 to 8 weeks prior to the final expected frost.
Germination can be expected anywhere between 10 and 14 days, and when sowing, make sure that the plants are roughly 8 inches apart. Your soil should be well-drained, but watered regularly, making sure that the plants become well established in the soil. Once the plants have started to mature, watering can be cut down.
