Product Overview

The White Egg Turnip has tender and fine-grained flavor, with fast-growing roots. They are popular due to their short mature time of 60 days and they can be planted early in the season. The seeds have an average of 4 years. You may be required to stake them as they continue to grow. After harvesting, place them in bags as seed or onto a tarp only in the morning when plants are wet with dew. Use an eighth of an inch screen to aid in cleaning and ensure they are stored in a cool dry place. It's best that the seeds are planted in full sun, but they can tolerate partial shade. The soil needs to be well-drained, deep and sandy loam. They should be planted at least 3-4 weeks before last frost. In warm climates sow them in September. They should be planted seed deep with a quarter inch spacing between them, with around a foot between rows. They should emerge up to 10 days after.
