**Planting Instructions:**

- **Soil Preparation:** Choose a well-drained, loamy soil for planting. Work compost into the soil to improve its fertility and water-holding capacity.

- **Planting Time:** Snow peas are a cool-season crop. Sow the seeds outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring or in late summer for a fall harvest.

- **Sowing:** Plant the seeds about 1 inch deep and space them 2 inches apart in rows. Leave about 18-24 inches between rows.

- **Watering:** Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering. Snow peas prefer even moisture, especially during flowering and pod formation.

- **Support:** Snow pea plants are climbing vines and will need support. Provide trellises, stakes, or a pea fence for them to climb as they grow.

- **Sunlight:** Snow peas thrive in full sun, but they can tolerate partial shade.

- **Harvesting:** Harvest the pods when they are still flat and the peas inside are just beginning to swell. Pick them regularly to enjoy them at their sweetest.

**Health Benefits:**

Snow Pea, Sugar Snap Heirloom Seeds offer numerous health benefits:

1. **Low in Calories:** They are low in calories and rich in essential nutrients, making them a healthy addition to your diet.

2. **Fiber:** Snow peas are a good source of dietary fiber, which aids in digestion and helps maintain a healthy digestive system.

3. **Vitamins:** They contain vitamins C and K, providing immune system support and contributing to bone health.

    great germination

Great germination. So often I buy seeds from some retail store and nothing germinates or if they do it’s very slow and low.

Great Germination, Great Tasting, Great Price, But Not All Sugar Snap Peas

Posted by Pippit Carlington on 28th Jul 2017

I would have rated these 5 stars except for the fact that what I received was a mix of Sugar Snap and Snow Peas and I had ordered straight Sugar Snap Peas. I thought something was wrong at first after I soaked them because they were not all the same color green, but then I looked at the package more closely and realized that I'd been sent a mix instead of all Sugar Snap Peas. I think The Sugar Snap peas probably have more chlorophyll in them and I'm eating these as sprouts/microgreens, so I hope that on my next order I can get all Sugar Snap Peas. These are great in salads or for eating by the handful by themselves. Great flavor, and they germinated really fast (tails formed in just 1 day after the water was poured off). It seemed that both the Snow Peas and Sugar Snap Peas germinated at about the same time and rate. By the 4th day they had long tails on them and some were about to transform into shoots, but I couldn't wait to eat them, LOL. The price is great and I'll definitely be ordering from this company again.
