Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach Heirloom Seed

**Product Description:**

Welcome to Todd's Seeds, your source for premium heirloom seeds. Our Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach Heirloom Seeds offer a classic choice for your garden, providing you with spinach known for its tender, crinkled leaves and rich, earthy flavor. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting out, these seeds will help you grow nutritious and delicious spinach right in your own backyard.

**Planting Instructions:**

- **Soil Preparation:** Choose well-drained, nutrient-rich soil with a pH level of 6.0-7.0 for optimal spinach growth.

- **Planting Time:** Sow Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach seeds in early spring or late summer for a fall crop. Spinach prefers cooler temperatures.

- **Sowing:** Plant seeds ½ inch deep and about 2-4 inches apart in rows, leaving 12-18 inches between rows.

- **Sunlight:** Spinach thrives in partial to full sun but can tolerate some shade, especially in hot climates.

- **Watering:** Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Regular watering is essential for healthy spinach growth.

- **Thinning:** Once the seedlings have a few true leaves, thin them to the recommended spacing to allow for proper leaf development.

**Harvesting:**

Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach is typically ready for harvest in 40-50 days from planting, depending on growing conditions. You can harvest the outer leaves as soon as they reach a desirable size, typically 6-8 inches long. Use a pair of scissors or a sharp knife to cut the leaves, leaving the inner leaves to continue growing.

**Nutritious and Versatile Uses:**

Spinach is well-known for its high nutritional value and versatility in the kitchen. Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach offers tender, crinkled leaves with a rich, earthy flavor. Use it fresh in salads, sauté it as a side dish, add it to smoothies, or incorporate it into your favorite recipes for an extra dose of vitamins and minerals.

I love bloomsdale spinach. I still have a winter crop growing. These were bought for me to try growing them as micro greens. If that does not work out, I will be growing them next fall for salads.
