Product Overview

White Yarrow is a famous herb and is a great lovely wildflower ground cover. It can be invasive if seeded widely it can fill a meadow area and exclude everything else from growing within that area within two or three years. They have a great medieval herbal history and the legends claim they were used as medicine and as magic for centuries. Usually they are used as dried flower arrangements. They are best to plant after their frost date and it is best to have a place in the garden where they will have at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. The soil needs to be prepared by ensuring it is cleared and that the area of all existing growth is removed to obtain optimal results.

Dig up everything growing in that area and turn the soil then rake the area to make sure that the area is flat. Mix the seeds with sand for the better visibility and scatter the seeds directly on top of the soil. If it is by hand then you can do this easily, but if you choose a larger area then a seed spreader may be a better option. Lightly compress the seeds into the soil, ensure that they are not buried, you can do this by walking on them or use a board, with a larger area a seed roller may be the best option. Water the soil so it is moist, not wet, until the seedlings are at least 4-6 inches tall. After this period, the seedlings will survive on natural rains. If you have dry weather then water them occasionally to ensure that the soil is moist.

PACKET = ~12,000 SEEDS at least TWICE THE SIZE of a normal packet.
