Morning Glory Seeds - "Scarlet O'Hara" (Ipomea purpurea) are hybrid flowers that bloom in a deep red with a white center. The seeds can be stored in a cool, dry place without any damage. They are sweetly fragrant and annual flowers, and have a tall, vining foliage, which can reach up to 10 inches tall. They are perfect for decorating fences, mailboxes or lampposts due to their bright red color. They can bloom in full light, i.e. 6 hours of sunlight per day or half shade, which is around 3 hours per day of direct sunlight. They are red, pretty flowers and they open up as the shape of the moon.
They are estimated to be around 120 cm tall when they mature. Blooming time is from early summer to fall. They require the soil to be dry, average and well drained, which means they are flexible with their soil conditions, because they will tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil, dry/drought soil and clay soil. Their ideal growing regions are in Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, West, and Pacific Northwest America. They are used showy flowers, extended blooms and because they are easy to grow.
