Product Description

(Plains Coreopsis blooms into airy plants with shiny green stems and ball-shaped brown buds. On meadows it can have a cluster of golden flowers with mahogany centers which tend to light up the meadow and they have a long blooming season. Their blooming time is from summer to fall. They are perfect for cutting and this is a plains species which is very widespread. It is known as the calliopsis in the South, especially in Florida. The coreopsis has been classed as the official State wildflower of Florida. Coreopsis Tinctoria´s are red and yellow flowers and when they mature they grow to be 30-36 inches tall.

They cover a vast region and 1 pound of seeds can cover up to 50,000 square feet. Coreopsis Tinctoria´s tend to grow well in dry, average and well-drained soil. They tolerate sandy soil, loamy soil and dry soil. They are native to the Great Plains and Southern United States. They are used as deer resistant’s, cut flowers, showy flowers and extended bloomers. The seeds can be stored if it is kept in a cool, dry place.
